This was a fun time! All eggs were numbered from 1-25. The students had to find their number. It took a lot longer than a normal egg hunt.
Starting our morning singing about "Layers in the Rainforest!"
Our class is having fun researching animals of the rainforest. The students are looking forward to parents coming next week to show them our "Walk Through the Rainforest" presentations. Take a look at just some of the things the students have been working on.
We are researchers!
We enjoyed celebrating Read Across America Day! One of our highlights of the day was having a skype with another 1st grade class from Missouri! We read a book to them, and asked questions. Then they read a book to us and asked questions.
We enjoyed making out "How To" writing come to life as we acted out things we know 'How To" do at school. Some of our work was published in this video. The children enjoyed picking what to write about.
We celebrated Valentines Day with a full day of fun activities.
We are 100 day SMARTER today! Check us out....This is what we are going to look like at 100 years old. We counted 100 cheerios in math, stood on one leg for 100 seconds and wrote our numbers to 100! It was a great day! Now.....we start counting down the days left of school.
Many of our 1st grade friends earned game time for the 2nd PBIS celebration! Awesome job to our class for being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE AND SAFE!
First Graders sure know how to have fun! We spent the last two days making Gingerbread Houses. A special thank you for Sugar and Sass Cakery spending time this week helping us make the perfect icing for our houses. Also thank you parents for your help in coming into our classroom. We had a fun time!
