At North Ward and in our classroom we like to provide each child with the opportunity to do their best every day! The following are some of the ways we teach the children to choose to BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE, and BE SAFE!
Behavior Chart
Our classroom behavior chart. Each child enters each day ready to learn. If a child moves their clip down they loose 2 points from their total grade. Each move down is subtracting points from their quarterly grade. If a student moves up the chart we will add points to their grade.
Tiger Cards
Tiger cards are given to children as they are caught being a good student. Cards can be given by any teacher at North Ward. The children then get their name on our tiger grid and if they are in the spot that is called on the grid then they get to go to the office.
Golden Paws
GOLDEN PAW
If a child is EXCEPTIONALLY great a teacher will fill our a golden paw. These are placed into a grade level bin and your child has a chance of getting their name called during our morning meeting time in the gym.
You might be getting a call home from Mr. Wallace for this :)

Pink Slips
PINK SLIP
If your child is not doing what is expected of them they will bring home a pink slip. Your child will discuss what they did with an adult and they will have a consequence for their actions. Please talk to your child about the choice they made.
Sign the pink slip and return it to school the next day.
I also start a behavior log for your child as they start to move their clip in the classroom. I will make notes as your child does something wrong. You will get an email from me through teacherease stating why your child is moving their clip or getting a ponk slip.
